I have been gardening for 40+ years and would hlhigy suggest a form of raised bed gardening. Google SquareFoot Gardening and similar sites. This is seriously the most efficient and trouble free gardening in terms of weeds and watering. As far as varieties of plants suggest ordering seed catalogues from Stokes, Burpee, and a dozen others. Again Google Seeds and gardens, etc. With these ideas you should get a good start and a great education.
Thanks Deden. I don’t own any land. That is why I write about small container gardening. Plus my garden is on the rood top, so the amount of pressure I put on the roof creates a risk for the structure of the building. I’m trying to convince the landlord however to allow me to put in a raised bed garden in the parking lot behind the building and do a community garden.
